Many of our garments have been worn by several generations of children — the best way to treat them is with care. Please follow the below instructions to help the garment last several more!

Handwashing your garment:

  1. Fill a clean basin with cool water. Mix a tablespoon of gentle laundry soap to create suds.

  2. Submerge garment into soapy water and gently swish around. Then let soak for 5-10 minutes.

  3. Drain basin and refill with cool water.

  4. Submerge garment into clean water and gently swish around. Repeat until suds are gone.

  5. Gently squeeze excess water out of garment against the side of the basin.

  6. Lay the garment on a clean, dry towel, and roll them up together.

  7. Unroll and lay the garment flat to dry (knits) or hang on a drying rack (wovens).

Presoaking a white cotton garment:

  1. Fill a clean basin with warm water. Mix a scoop of oxygenated bleach alternative/sodium percarbonate into the water.

  2. Submerge garment into mixture and gently swish around. Let soak for up to an hour.

  3. Wash per handwashing instructions above.

Extra tips:

  • Always treat stains as soon as they happen.

  • If a garment is not visibly dirty, it is best to hang to air out and skip the wash.

  • Repair holes and tears before washing.
